The end of the first half of the season in Russian football was marked by one of the most high-profile accidents in its history. Talking about the collective demarche of fans clubs of the Russian Premier League (RPL). In the course of almost all matches of the 19th round they had demonstratively left the podium, leaving blank the most noisy and visible sector. Thus way fans expressed protest against too tough, in their view, action police relative to them. Material damage from the action for the clubs will be minimal. But sources of "Kommersant" speak about significant "image damage" for domestic football.
The main events of the last round of the Russian football championship before the winter break were the events that took place not on the field during its matches, but outside it. In the course of almost all games - usually at the end of the first half-stands organized left large groups of spectators, located mainly in the so-called fan sectors.
It was about the most massive and the most unexpected action of fans in the history of Russian football: after all, until recently it seemed that fans of, for example, Spartak, Zenit and CSKA can not show solidarity, in fact, under any conditions.
The initiator of the action was "Fratria", the most massive group of fans of "Spartak". Before the start of the tour, she urged active fans to leave the stadiums in the 30th minute of all eight matches of the tour. The main reason for the call-up were the incidents that occurred in early December before and after the away match of Spartak with the championship leader Zenit. According to "Fratria", fans of guests "faced unreasonable aggression from the city authorities and law enforcement agencies of St. Petersburg where arrived to support the team", and "hundreds Spartak fans without explanation, without explanations of the legal rights were detained and sent on cameras".
The most loud episode from this state of emergency was detention of one of leaders of fans of "Spartak" Valery Bevz to whom at first incriminated public insults — "obscene chants" - to the forward of "Zenit" and the national team of Russia Artem Dzyuba, and then participation in a fight in the spring of this year. Valery Bevz denied both counts, but was banned from attending matches for the next year and a half. In addition to him, more than 20 Spartak fans were subjected to detention and various sanctions (mainly in the form of fines) — as a rule, for insulting the same Artem Dzyuba.
Meanwhile, the appeal of "Fratria" contains reminders of "unjustified cruelty", "aggression" and even "violation of constitutional rights" by law enforcement agencies in relation not only to the fans of "Spartak", but also other clubs - "Locomotive", "Zenit", CSKA.
Oleg Semenov, one of the most authoritative fans of Spartak and the head of the social project "Stadium - our common home", commenting on the success of the action, confirmed that " now there is a real Union of fans, which is not coordinated by any single center, as it was during the VOB (all-Russian Association of fans, which ceased to exist in 2016.- "Kommersant")". And Sergey Mukhin, a CSKA fan with 50 years of experience, told Kommersant that "when one thing concerns absolutely everyone, no one will remember the club's relationship": "as far as I know, the decision to support the action, which was called for by Spartak fans, was not easy for CSKA fans, there were certain disagreements within fan groups. However, the majority understood that we necessarily need to indicate our position."
The Russian football Union (RFU), whose Secretary General Alexander Alaev after the away game of the Russian national team with the team of San Marino in the qualifying tournament of European championship 19 Nov called the Russian audience, insulted Artem Dzyuba, "pseudo fans", on Sunday declined to comment about the move. The Ministry of internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on December 8 could not quickly comment on "Kommersant" action of fans. Representatives of the Russian Premier League were unavailable for comment.
Obviously, the material damage from the action will be insignificant. The fact is that matchday revenues— from the costs associated with the purchase of a ticket and other expenses of visitors to matches at the stadium-in RPL clubs account for an average of less than 10% of total revenues. But a source of "Kommersant" in one of the structures that control Russian football, said that significant, most likely, will be "image damage": "foreign organizations are closely watching our football, and these events are not just a little spoil the TV picture, and quite hit his reputation."
Oleg Semenov said that "he can not yet predict the development of events." "The year 2020 for Spartak begins on March 4 with a Russia Cup match against CSKA, where it is quite possible for some joint coordinated action of our and army fans, corresponding to the rules of behavior of spectators at the stadium," he said.
"Our calculation should be based on the fact that the stadium breathes fans. They create a special atmosphere, without which the interest in football will decrease, and thus reduce the inflow of funds from advertising. In theory, the owners of the clubs should speak in our defense, in any case, to Express their position. As fans demand not support of any lawlessness, and elementary respect of the rights", - Sergey Mukhin declared.
