The Russian football Premier League and the European Legal Service have signed a partnership agreement.
This was announced on September 2, 2014 at the official press conference of the Premier League.
There is a precedent in the world history when a law firm will serve a multi-million community of fans of the whole country. This was stated by the President of the European Legal Service Sergey Bekrenev.
From the seventh round, any fan on the day of the match will be able to ask for help by calling the 24-hour hotline of the European Legal Service. He will receive a legal assessment of the situation in which he was, as well as legal advice on all matters related to the sporting event. Also, the contract States that the fan has the right to provide on the day of the matches without restrictions of contact information of state bodies, the right to receive standard forms of applications, complaints and appeals. Moreover, the European Legal Service will advise the fans in its office if face-to-face consultation is needed.
"The precedent that we have created will allow us to increase the entertainment of football, go to football with families, have fun. This also requires a well-coordinated and clear interaction between the organizers of the matches, the security services of the RFPL, clubs and law enforcement agencies," the President of the European Legal Service said.
Sergey Cheban, Executive Director of the RFPL, said that the RFPL has set a goal to reduce the number of legally illiterate fans: "This season we will conduct a powerful information attack aimed at fans. The goal is to ensure that our fans are not legally illiterate. We will inform all football fans of the rules of conduct at the stadiums.
Fans will be able to consult with our partner — the European Legal Service — on the days of the matches. Also at the matches, the fans will be given leaflets that will explain in a visual form the rights and obligations of the fan, the requirements imposed on him, responsibility, etc. This will be done to ensure that the fan knows his rights and can protect himself from the actions of law enforcement agencies in cases where they can take place. It is also planned to conduct an experiment at the stadium, in which a lawyer in special clothes will stand at the stadium, to which fans will be able to approach and also get help."
